BetsPal is for adults aged 18 and over. BetsPal is free and just for fun: a social app for sharing and tracking picks, not a bookmaker. We don't take bets, and no real money is involved in a pick. But tipping and betting sit close together, so we take this seriously.
Keep it a hobby
- Only bet money you can afford to lose. Treat it as the cost of entertainment, not income.
- Set a budget and a time limit before you start, and stick to them.
- Don't chase losses. Raising stakes to win it back is how small losses become big ones.
- No tipster wins every week. A good record still has losing runs.
- Don't bet when you're upset, stressed or have been drinking.
- Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools your bookmaker offers.
Signs it might be a problem
- Betting more than you planned, or more than you can afford.
- Borrowing money, or using money meant for bills, to bet.
- Hiding your betting from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious, low or irritable when you're not betting.
- Betting to escape problems or to win back losses.
