BetsPalPrivacy policy
Last updated 30 September 2026. This covers the BetsPal information and waitlist site at info.betspal.app.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- Your email address (required).
- Anything you choose to add: your name, the handle you tip under, where you post picks now, your rough follower count, the sports you tip, and whether you're joining as a tipster or a follower.
- How you found us: the referring page, any campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), an invite code if a friend shared their link, and the page you landed on.
- Basic technical details: your browser's user-agent string, the time you signed up, and the approximate server region that handled your request.
We don't use cookies, analytics scripts or advertising trackers on this site. We keep your IP address only in memory for a few minutes to stop spam signups; it isn't written to our database.
Why we collect it
- To email you when your spot opens and to send launch updates about BetsPal.
- To decide who to let in first, for example tipsters in sports we're launching with.
- To understand which channels bring people to BetsPal.
Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
No one outside BetsPal, apart from the hosting provider that runs this site (Fly.io) and, when we send launch emails, our email delivery provider. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with bookmakers or tipster services.
How long we keep it
Until BetsPal launches to you, or until you ask us to delete it. If you create a BetsPal account, the app's own privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@betspal.app from the address you signed up with and we'll do it within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the ICO in the UK.
Age
The waitlist is for adults aged 18 or over. If we learn that someone under 18 has signed up, we delete their details.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant we'll email people on the waitlist.
